"Have You Ever Loved A Woman" is a blues standard written by Billy Myles and recorded by Freddie King as Federal single #12384 in 1960.[1] King's single failed to make an impact on its initial release. However, it was later recorded by Eric Clapton's band Derek and the Dominos for their 1970 album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. Clapton has since championed the song, with live versions appearing on E. C. Was Here, 24 Nights, Live In Hyde Park, One More Car, One More Rider and Crossroads Guitar Festival 2004.
